Adult Christian Formation

Christian Formation

We are a small church, with a big heart for sharing God’s love with our community. Growth comes from each member strengthening their own faith, while building relationships with people, and helping them grow spiritually. As we meet people where they are, through all our contacts in the community, we each have a job to do, and together, by the grace of God, we can work to ensure Christ Church is a vibrant part of our growing community.

From parish-wide events and celebrations to the small group gatherings, we intend for each parishioner to feel welcomed and connected, as they grow in their faith.

Come, join us for Sunday worship or for one of the many programs of education, volunteering or fellowship offered during the week! View our calendar here »

Men’s Prayer & Bible Study Breakfast Wednesdays, 7:30am at the Mountain Chalet (Suggested $5 donation)

Summer Women’s Bible Study meets at CEC on Wednesdays, 10:15 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. throughout the summer.

“Faith in Focus” meets throughout the year, at pre-arranged times, to explore and strengthen faith formation, incorporating video teachings.

Food, Fellowship & Faith: Join us for monthly CEC Church Family dinners, CEC Women’s Lunches, and First Sunday breakfasts. Food and fellowship are a great way to build relationships, while you meet the people who make CEC such a special place to grow in your faith.

Confirmation was held on June 5th with Bishop O’Neill.  Seventeen people were confirmed, including teens, families and individuals. Fifty people have been confirmed at CEC in the past 15 years, with 29 of those confirmed in the past 5 years.  We are excited to see people growing in their faith!

Small group book studies are organized periodically. Past books have included Tom Wright & NT Wright’s Paul for Everyone: The Prison Letters; Richard Foster’s Celebration of Discipline; Right Rev. Stephen Cottrell’s The Nail as well as The Things He Carried: A journey to the cross; and Walter Brueggemann’s Into Your Hand: confronting Good Friday. As a congregation, we also explored The Community Bible Experience.

Lenten Studies last for six weeks, with weekly gatherings to discuss the book selected for that period.

2018 Lenten Study: He Chose the Nails by Max Lucado (book costs $10 from Fr. Brice).   Please join us on Thursday evenings March 6-April 6, 2017. We’ll begin each evening with a simple soup supper at 5:30 PM followed by our study from 6-7 pm.

Please feel free to use any of the various Lenten resources that can be found on the bench in the narthex.
