Have you ever practiced contemplative prayer? There is a particular way one can pray, a prayer of the heart called Loving Kindness Meditation. This kind of prayer is practiced in both the Christian and Buddhist traditions, and probably some other faith traditions, too. With all that is going on in the world right now, this is a great time to grow in our ability to practice loving kindness!

Fr. Peter is inviting you to learn and practice Loving  Kindness Meditation this Sunday, August 9, from 9-9:40 a.m. at the church. (We will observe proper distancing and be wearing masks in the room downstairs.) This class will be offered for four Sundays – August 9, 16, 23, and 30, and I am inviting you to practice the Loving Kindness Meditation for 30 days (through September 7). We will see how the Spirit moves us. This could turn into a weekly “Zoom group” after we complete the 30 days. But for now, join us this Sunday!
