Music at Midnight: The Devotional Poetry of George Herbert and Spencer Reece
George Herbert, poet and priest, served as an English country parson in the 17th century who described creative and ethical inspiration as “Music at Midnight.” Poet Spencer Reece serves as priest-in-charge of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Queens, New York, one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the world. Come and explore the poetry of these poet/priests and the intersection of faith and art with David Killeen, a priest and poet who is currently studying in the Creative Writing Ph.D. program at Florida State University.
