Ministries at Christ Church

Our Community

We are a small church, with a big heart for sharing God’s love with our community. To be an effective mission-shaped church that meets people where they are, and helps them to grow in their relationships with God, we strive to be creative in our ministry and our outreach.

Ministry Council:

The Ministry Council reports to the Vestry.  In conjunction with the priest, they are in charge of overseeing the church’s various ministries outside of the service and are in charge of general programming.  It is currently chaired by Katrina Gallant and meets quarterly on Sundays after the 10am service.

Our Ministries

Hospitality Ministry – Our Hospitality Ministry consists of volunteers who provide food items outside of Sunday fellowship. They bring everything from side dishes and salads to desserts at events ranging from graduation celebrations and special receptions to Shrove Tuesday and Maundy Thursday suppers.  This ministry replaces the previous “Mason Jar Ministry”.  Contact Joy Stryker for more information.

Outreach Ministry – Christ Church Aspen engages a team of volunteers who are actively involved in serving and supporting our valley and nearby neighbors.  In addition, they review funding requests from local nonprofits.  The Outreach Committee is currently chaired by Leone Falcone.

Currently CEC is proud to support Feed My Sheep Ministries based in Glenwood Springs with an annual outreach grant, as well as ongoing food and coat & camping supply donations.  Feed My Sheep “provides a hand-up, rather than a hand-out” for the valley’s homeless.
