Adult Christian Formation
Christian Formation
We are a small church, with a big heart for sharing God’s love with our community. Growth comes from each member strengthening their own faith, while building relationships with people, and helping them grow spiritually. As we meet people where they are, through all our contacts in the community, we each have a job to do, and together, by the grace of God, we can work to ensure Christ Church is a vibrant part of our growing community.
From parish-wide events and celebrations to the small group gatherings, we intend for each parishioner to feel welcomed and connected, as they grow in their faith.
Come, join us for Sunday worship or for one of the many programs of education, volunteering or fellowship offered during the week! View our calendar here »

Tuesdays, Let’s Talk
Tuesdays, 12:00 – 1:00 pm MST, Zoom
We will use this time to check in and catch up with each other.
How are you doing – really? (What are you feeling? – e.g., sad, mad, discouraged, peaceful, grieving, scared, content, etc.)
How can the community of CEC support you right now? (with prayer, with phone calls or texts to check in, with a meal, financial help, transportation, Peter or a member of CEC bringing you Communion, etc.)
What do you miss most right now?
What are you learning?
Where are you encountering God right now?
Is there anything else you would like to share?

Wednesdays – 7:00 am Mid-Week Meditation, sent to your inbox
Peter will write a weekly reflection on one of the scripture passages for the day, and Katrina will have it in your email inbox by early Wednesday morning. This is an opportunity to take a mid-week pause and reflect on the various ways that God shows up to us through scripture – how the written word reveals the living Word, Jesus Christ.
Thursdays – 10:00 am Lectio Divina via Zoom
Lectio Divina means “Divine Reading” and is an ancient way of praying with the scriptures. It is not designed to be an academic study of scripture, but a way to allow the word of God to wash over you and speak to you, and to the group. A passage of scripture is read four different times, with a different question posed each time. We will reflect on one of the scriptures for the upcoming Sunday, so it is one way to prepare for Sunday’s worship. And… your insights might end up in Peter’s sermon! Monday – Friday Facebook Live videos – on the Christ Church FB page: Facebook.com/christchurchaspen
Peter will share a live post each weekday on one of the daily scriptures. The reflections will usually be around 5-8 minutes in length. It’s an opportunity to learn more about the Bible and see how it is relevant to your life.
